Developers can already bring their iPad apps to macOS
Until now known as Marzipan project, this will allow programmers to transpose their applications to Apple computers. One of the first novelties under this new program is the arrival of the official Twitter application to macOS.
In fact, we have a transposition of the application of Twitter for iOS for the new Catalina macOS. Thus, the operating system for Apple computers now has an official application of this social network. The American tech will still encourage more programmers to do the same with their apps.
iPad can now work with your computer’s secondary screen
With the introduction of the Sidecar feature, it will become possible to use an iPad as a secondary screen of your Mac. It is therefore no longer necessary to use third-party applications to enjoy this possibility.
For designers and the like, Sidecar also lets you use an iPad as a drawing platform. To do this, you can use Apple Pencil to make the creation process as fluid as possible. This feature supports programs like Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Illustrator, and iWork.
Now you can control your Apple device with voice commands
Other features of today’s event include the introduction of voice commands on macOS and iOS. Named “Voice Control”, you will only need a simple voice command to perform various actions on your equipment.

Applications also undergo changes with the Catalina macOS
This had been speculated, iTunes ended its existence with the Catalina macOS. From now on, users of this operating system will now have the Music, Podcasts and TV applications available to them. Synchronization with iOS devices will now move to the handle of the Finder.
Apple has also decided to join two of the other applications: “Find My Device” and “Find My Friends”. This gives rise to “Find Me”, which will allow you to locate equipment through Bluetooth.
The Screen Time function also comes with macOS. As with iOS, this feature will let you know how much time you spend with your computer. In addition, you’ll now be able to see your usage times for all your Apple devices.
