From now on, you are already using the official Xiaomi launcher on your device, but you may notice that it will not change the icons of your applications that MIUI uses. For this, it is necessary to make one more change. Look:
- With the Xiaomi launcher itself, open Google Play and install one of these icon packs: MIUI 10 Pixel or MIUX 9 ;
- Once you have installed them, touch and hold on an empty space on the device’s home screen and go to “Configure”;
- Tap “More”, enter “Icon Package”, select the desired package and click “Apply.”
Now, you already have the interface more similar to that of the Xiaomi handsets, but it’s good to do a cleanup on the home screen. For example, after you have installed the icon packs, they can be removed to leave the interface with only the desired items.
Although the Launcher used in the tutorial already appears in Google Play, it still says not to be compatible with some devices, however, in tests conducted by Techkhiladi on two different smartphones, it worked without any compatibility problem and did not show any locking .
Installing Xiaomi programs
In addition to having the official Xiaomi launcher, the company also has some applications that can be installed on other devices. The Techkhiladi performed tests and listed below the main programs that work without major problems. However, please note that some of them are on Google Play and others come in APK format through the APKMirror website. Check the list:
Once you have installed the Xiaomi applications, it’s a good idea to create shortcuts for them to your home screen, leaving them, of course, in a separate folder. Also, do not forget to also fix their main icons for easier access to the music player, phone, and browser.
Ready! Now, you already know how to make your Android phone look more like the interface found on Xiaomi devices with MIUI.
