One feature that users have always asked Netflix was the ability to download content for offline viewing. The company has met the popular clamor, but few people know that it is also possible to do this for your PC.
Yes, Netflix allows you to download videos to a computer, allowing you to access them when you are offline. This is especially useful for situations such as a long flight, where you can use a notebook, but you will not have access to Wi-Fi (or you’ll have to pay fortunes for the airplane’s horrific Wi-Fi).
However, there are some limitations to make use of the feature. You must be using Windows 10 because the download is only allowed through the Netflix application in the Windows store. Also, you will not be able to access the video from any player other than the app’s own player.
1. Download and install the Netflix application for your PC
2. Open the application and log in with your account
3. Pull out the side menu and enter “Available for download”
Not all the Netflix catalog can be downloaded for offline viewing. Signing in to this part of the app makes it much easier.
4. Look for the movie or series you want to download
5. Click “Download”
If what you want to download is a movie, the button will be highlighted. If it’s a series, you need to click the icon with the arrows down in specific chapters.
6. To watch, go back to the side menu and go to “My downloads”
This area shows the progress of downloads and also everything you’ve downloaded. Just click on the downloaded movie or series to start the display.
