WhatsApp will have more integration with Facebook and will have an Instagram functionality

Through the WABetaInfo leaker, we know that the next WhatsApp update will bring you integration with Facebook Stories. The Stories feature already exists on Instagram, but you can not share stories between applications.

In the new update, an option will be added in the Status bar that allows you to share the story in Facebook Stories. This option is supposed to appear if you have the Facebook app installed on your phone.

The second innovation that this update brings is the possibility of sharing your contact by QR code. It seems an almost insignificant addition but it is quite useful to share the contact with someone quickly. This is an existing function in Instagram through Nametags.

This feature will be located in your WhatsApp profile. A security layer will be added, where you can revoke the QR code if you do not want your contact to be shared with other people.

Despite the news, users ask for Dark Mode

In Twitter publishing where the leaker WABetaInfo shares this information, there are several users asking about Dark Mode. The Beta version of WhatsApp has already shown that it is in development but not final.

A user is apparently so frustrated by the lack of Dark Mode that he accused the leaker of sharing false news. However, WABetaInfo already has a reputation since 2016 as a viable source of future WhatsApp updates.
