The feature was made available in the latest version of the app for both Android and iPhone. The process below was performed on an Android device, but the steps are the same regardless of the platform used. Check out:
- Go to Google Play and search for the Google app. If you have any updates to be made, please do so;
- Open the Google app as usual and touch your profile image in the upper right corner of the screen;
- In the screen that appears, select the option “Use without an account”. Then, you’ll be able to conduct searches without leaving a trace on your phone. Note that when you are in anonymous mode, you will not have a profile picture in the upper right corner of the screen.
When you use Google’s anonymous mode, you have to remember that the suggestions it brings are not accurate. This happens because he will not be seeing your account history and should show the results that are higher. So other features like the news feed, for example, end up being useless in this mode.
