New Spotify feature lets you pause music playback automatically.
Spotify is one of the most used programs in mobile phones to stream music with good quality. In the midst of this, many people like to play music at certain times, such as bedtime, with Spotify being an interesting option for this.
The big problem, of course, is the battery of your mobile device, which can quickly end up running the program even if you’re not listening. To solve this problem, luckily, Spotify has created a “Timer” function, which causes the music to stop running on the phone after a period of time. Here’s how to use it:
- Go to Google Play and make sure Spotify is up to its latest version;
- Open the application as usual and choose a song, album, or playlist;
- With a song being played, tap the button labeled “three dots” and select the “Timer” option;
- Finally, set when the song should stop playing and see the onscreen confirmation.
Ready! Now, just keep listening to your music or playlist until Spotify stops playing it automatically. Remember that this function only pauses what is being played in Spotify, ie the application will still be open and the phone will not be turned off.
