It is unanimous: at one time or another we, Mac users, we will come across a program that we love but does not run natively on OSX. Much of the reason is that Windows is a system with more users and developers give priority to this system when programming applications.
But do not worry. It is entirely possible to run programs on your OSX without having to install any Windows virtual machines or install the Bill Gates system on your machine. For this we will use a program called WineBottler, which is able to run a series of Microsoft Windows programs simply and easily.
Known to anyone who uses Linux, Wine is a program that makes it possible to run Windows applications on other operating systems, such as OSX and Mac.
WineBottler only simplifies the use of this sensational tool.

Step 1 – Download and install WineBottler
Download and install WineBottler on your Mac. Leave it ready, as it is what we will use to run Windows .exe.

To install properly, drag the wine and wine box icons to the Applications folder, just like the image.
After installation it will go through a WineBottler configuration window. Leave everything in the default prefixes. It is they who make your program run.
Each Windows program has a different prefix, that is, a different setting that makes Wine run it correctly.
Step 2 – Install the Windows program
Now is the time to download the Windows program you want.
There are two ways to install programs by WineBottler: a fully automatic program directly from the initial menu and a little more technical, but nothing too difficult.

Easy Way – Installing Direct from WineBottler
When opening Winebottler after the initial setup, you will come across a screen similar to this:
These are pre-configured programs for Wine on the Mac. You just have to click and request the installation. The application (if it’s free) will be downloaded and installed automatically on your Mac, already configured correctly in your Wine. It may be necessary to restart your computer.
