In a strange move, Microsoft decided to raise the minimum requirements necessary to run the last update of Windows 10, known as ‘1903’.
After all, since Windows 10 was released in 2015, the requirements have always been the same … But it seems that after so many years, it’s time to implement some changes, which in turn need more disk space.
Update May 2019 (1903 version), will pull more by your computer!

Unfortunately, Microsoft has not yet explained why this change in storage requirements. Because, after all, as of now, Windows will need at least 32GB of free memory on the disk.
Which probably has to do with the fact, a new feature, which reserves almost 7GB, exclusively for updates and system cache.
After all, users are asking Microsoft to increase the minimum requirements of their Operating System … So that there is a certainty, that the PC withstands with Windows.
So it seems that with the May 2019 upgrade to Windows 10, Microsoft is taking more care of the devices that run or can run the OS.
In short, the idea is to ensure that there are fewer problems in the future with the updates that have lately troubled older machines.

However, after all the problems that the October 2018 update had, there are still many users … who basically do not want to risk upgrading their machines.
Therefore, the company now has several defined strategies, to ensure that these problems do not recur. Like the hypothesis, to postpone the updates, until there is the guarantee, that everything is fine.
Similarly, we also have new functionality! That after any installation, the Operating System will identify a problem … And so, automatically do ‘Rollback’, to its previous state. (That is, uninstalling the problematic update.)
