How to Improve Your Wi-Fi Signal Using Aluminium Foil

Today I brought a tip for those who suffer from the Wi-Fi connection! There are several things you can do when you’re out of the clock all the time, or it takes a long time to download a file, access a website, or watch a video on YouTube. And many of them I’ve already talked about here as: change the router’s place, leave it away from electronics, install a signal repeater…

But, it has a much easier and cheaper trick: aluminium foil! People, researchers at Dartmouth University have proven that putting aluminium foil around the router does indeed improve the Wi-Fi signal, do you? In fact, it helps in directing rather than letting it spread throughout the environment because aluminium foil causes interference in the signal and does not let it pass. That is, the side that is covered with foil will receive less signal than the side that is without the paper, okay?

Look how to do this: the best way is to shape the paper to form a “U” and put behind the antennae or turn to the side you want to have more signal. So … look at how the signal improves on this side, which is what is without the barrier! You can also use an aluminium can. Just cut the bases and then the medium to form the “U”.

If your router has more than one antenna and you want to direct the signal to more than one room, you can mount the aluminium foil in an “S” shape. You will only need to separate the two antennas.

Now, it’s easier to get a Wi-Fi signal in some rooms of the house!
