How to access your PC files from your Android or iPhone smartphone remotely

You’ve probably seen yourself wanting to access the files you have on your computer from your Android phone. Usually, when this happens, it is too late and you can do nothing to solve the problem, but today we want to teach you how to prepare for this eventuality in case you need to remotely access your files from your computer through a mobile device.
We have tried the version for Windows and Android, but there is also a version available to use for MacOS and for iPhone. To perform this process, will require an application on our smartphones as well as a program installed on the PC. Specifically, let’s use Pushbullet because besides allowing access to files remotely, offers some interesting features since it is a very versatile application.

Your files will be common in your equipment

Obviously, the first step is to download Pushbullet on both devices. To do so, on the smartphone we must do it through the Play Store, while on the computer can download from the official website of the software (you can find the links at the end of the article).

The installation is very simple and we will not have to worry about installing a software fix extra that sometimes certain programs “offer” and that we do not want for anything and then we still have to worry about going uninstall from our computers.

In just 30 seconds you’ll already have Pushbullet on your both devices

The next step is to log on to each of the devices. If you do not have an account, you’ll need to create one, and you’ll be able to use your Google account to do it, something much faster and that will allow you to avoid having to remember passwords. On our phone, we’ll have a little tutorial that teaches you how to use the application so that you can access your phone’s notifications in case you want them reflected on your computer, among others.

In our case, we will focus on the number of remote files, since what we are talking about here is having access to the files of our computer from our mobile equipment. For this, we will have to give access to Pushbullet to access the files of our computer, as shown in the images below.

Once we’ve done that, you do not have to do anything else to get on your computer and access your files. With these steps you can also do the reverse step, that is, you can access the files on your smartphone remotely and without having to connect cables, all from your computer.

Needless to say, one thing is important: to do this, the computer has to be turned on, so if you might need the files away from home, it’s best not to turn off the computer.

You can download Pushbullet from the Play Store, the App Store, and for Windows on the official website.
