Run Safe Mode
Restarting S10 in safe mode does not correct the problem itself, but will give you an idea of what causes the performance problem. Specifically, this will immediately inform you whether the cause of the problem is a third-party application or not.
Here’s how to start the Galaxy S10 in safe mode:
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the Power key after the model name screen that appears on the screen.
- When SAMSUNG appears on the screen, release the button On / Off.
- Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold down the Volume Down key.
- Continue pressing the Volume Down key until the device completes the reset.
- When the security mode appears in the lower left corner of the screen, release the Volume Down key.
- While in Safe Mode, you can uninstall applications that are causing a problem.
Once you have successfully started your device in this mode, the next thing you should do is verify that the slow performance issue has disappeared. Navigate through the home screens, open applications, useful features, change settings to see if the device is working properly or not. Because if this happens, it means that there is a third-party application that is causing the problem.
Uninstall unnecessary applications
One of the best ways to ensure that old, unused applications do not run in the background uninstall them from your device. Of course, the Galaxy S10 comes with a minimum of 128 GB of internal storage, making it easy to maintain multiple applications. But that does not mean you should keep everything installed. Just because you can have 250 applications installed without causing storage problems does not mean it will not create performance problems.
Keep in mind that you can always reinstall an application later if you decide that you need it again. You do not need to keep it installed for the “just in case” scenarios that do not really come up as often as we would like to think while justifying maintaining an application.
Just be sure to back up all associated application data if the application does not use a cloud backup service.
Delete the system cache
Another common cause of performance problems is the corrupted system cache. Your device creates temporary files for all services, features, and applications. These files are used when you use these features or applications, and they actually make the smartphone work better.
However, when they get corrupted, problems like this can occur. To discard this possibility, you must delete the system cache by clearing the cache partition. Here’s how it’s done:
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold Increase volume and key Bixby and then hold down the On / Off.
- When the Android logo appears, release the three buttons.
- A message ‘Installing the system update’ will be displayed for 30 to 60 seconds before the options appear in the Android system recovery menu.
- Press the Volume Down key several times to clear the cache partition.
- Press the Power key to select.
- Press the Volume Down to highlight Yes and press the On / Off to select.
- When the cleanup cache partition is complete, the Restart Now system will be highlighted.
- Press the Power key to restart the device.
The smartphone will take a little longer to start after that, as the cache is rebuilt. Test the device and verify that slow performance has been corrected. If it’s still slow and slow, try the next solution.
Reset default settings
Most of the time, performance issues on your Galaxy have nothing to do with what you’ve done. And even when it’s your fault, it’s just casual and unintended consequences of how different parts of your smartphone have been set up. But when your device is not working as expected, one of the best ways to solve the problem is to reset to factory defaults, and thus eliminate these incorrect settings. Just like restarting the device you can clean some files and get it performing well, which can reset the various device settings.
Go to Settings > System> Reset Options . If you are specifically having problems with your mobile network, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, you can select Reset network settings to return all of them to the default without deleting anything else. But for all other problems, you should consider the Reset Settings option. This will remove any changes made to the phone’s settings, putting everything back to the default, but keeping your personal data and applications. You’ll lose all the customizations you’ve made, such as wallpapers, ringtones, and the like, but you’ll have the opportunity to set everything up from scratch without the added hassle of having to reinstall applications.
Factory reset
It is painful, but sometimes the only way to solve performance problems is to perform a factory reset. If you have gone through all the other possible paths, including resetting all the individual settings, then this is necessary. A factory reset will erase everything-lex.europa.eu that is on the smartphone.
First of all, back up all your data . This will ensure that applications that use cloud services have been synced recently, as well as make a copy of any photos or application data that are local only to the internal storage of your device. To do this, go to Settings> System> Backup.
Then in Settings, go to General Management and Reset to find the factory data reset. You will receive a reminder that you are about to lose everything that is stored.
Your device should now have the problem fixed. Be very careful about which applications you install, and how you configure the device.
