Enable Articles and content Suggestions in Chrome for Android

Among the new features that will arrive in the coming months to the Chrome browser for Android are the contextual suggestions. It is a feature that shows articles and news similar to those we are currently reading or researching.

This feature has already been enabled on Chrome developer version 73 and Chrome Canary, but can now be used in the current stable version of Chrome (version 71) in just a few steps.

To enable contextual suggestions we have to enter Chrome and enter the chrome: // flags command. Then search for the word Suggestions. Now you need to scroll down to find the experimental feature called Contextual Suggestion Button. Then change the option to Enable and then the Relaunch Now button (figure below).
From there, as soon as Chrome restarts, a new icon will appear next to the web address entry field (picture below). By clicking on it, a window opens with suggestions of contents similar to the ones we were accessing.
The suggestions button does not appear all the time because the browser needs some time to analyze what we are reading and searching to be able to list similar content. The subject can be from the same site or not, this will depend on how long you are navigating. It is a good resource for expediting our research on a particular subject when we need several sources of information.
