Holi is a time of lots of revelry and agglomerations, so it’s common to get out of a block of the street and realize your faithful companion, the smartphone, has been lost somewhere or even stolen.
So you’ve lost access to your phone and your chip. No matter if it was stolen, stolen or you just ended up losing the device, it is recommended to block access to WhatsApp as soon as possible to prevent strangers from having access to your private conversations.
So it’s important to block WhatsApp on your missing cell as soon as possible. The problem is to do this without physical access to the device. The easiest way would be to register the app on a new phone with its old number, but this can be a problem for two reasons: it can take a long time to get a new chip, or it may take a long time to get a new phone.
WhatsApp, however, provides another option, but it is not intuitive. After contacting your service provider to block your SIM card, so that the person with your cell phone in hand no longer has access to SMS messages, you should follow the steps below:
1. Open your email
2. Compose a message to the address support@whatsapp.com
3. Enter “Lost / Stolen: Please disable my account” (without quotation marks) as subject
4. In the text field, re-enter “Lost / Stolen: Please disable my account” (without quotation marks)
5. Include your phone number in international format
Done. Now you have successfully blocked your WhatsApp.
