How to use the Chrome tab grouping feature on Android

Google Chrome is the default Android browser, which comes installed on all devices that come with the system. In this way, Google always ends up investing in new features for it that make life easier for its users during their day-to-day use, one of their last being the possibility of grouping tabs.

The feature is especially useful for those who always keep many websites open at the same time and get lost with their default view. Here’s how to use the Chrome tab grouping function.

Important

This new browser function is still in the testing phase and is available in the Canary version of it. The process below assists you in installing it, which does not interfere with the browser, which already comes with the system, if you can continue to use both versions of the browser.

Using the Chrome tabs feature

This functionality added to the browser, although already functional, still needs to be enabled through parameters. Check out the complete process:

  1. Go to Google Play and download the Canary Chrome;
  2. When you open it for the first time, set whether you want to send error reports to Google and whether data save mode should be active or not;
  3. Now go to the address: chrome: // flags. In it, search for the “Tab Groups” function;
  4. Change its value from “Default” to “Enabled” and click on “Relaunch now”.

From now on, to create a group, what you need to do is hold onto a link until a menu appears and use the “Open in a new tab in the Group” function.

As you may have noticed, all pages that have been opened are accessible from the bottom. In addition, of course, you can also create new groups for your tabs that are open, so for example, it is possible to separate one group for social networks, another for Techkhiladi and other sites that you access.

Ready! Now you know how to use the new Google feature to better organize sites that are open in your browser.
